BIO
Sarah Schwartz is a seasoned attorney with a deep commitment to advocacy and justice. With experience spanning civil rights, victim representation, and complex litigation, she brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to every case she handles at Skelton Moore.
Sarah began her legal career representing crime victims and survivors of abusive acts at a boutique law firm, where she fought tirelessly for justice on behalf of those in vulnerable situations. From 2017 to 2019, she served as an Equal Justice Works Fellow and staff attorney at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM), where she provided critical legal assistance to low-income veterans and their families. Her practice at LSEM covered a broad range of cases, including housing, consumer protection, family law, transactional matters, and public benefits. During this time, Sarah successfully co-counseled and argued a termination of parental rights appeal before the Missouri Court of Appeals, securing a significant outcome in In the Matter of A.R.V. and D.M.V., 561 S.W.3d 817 (Mo. App. E.D. 2018).
Sarah’s passion for advocacy was evident early in her legal education. While earning her law degree at Washington University, she was actively involved in the Civil Rights, Community Justice, and Mediation Legal Clinic, as well as the Children’s Rights Clinic. She also served as an Associate Notes Editor for the Washington University Jurisprudence Review, refining her legal research and writing skills. Before attending law school, Sarah worked at the American Constitution Society, a national legal organization that solidified her drive to pursue a career in law.
At Skelton Moore, Sarah applies her extensive litigation experience to provide skilled representation in complex legal matters. Her ability to navigate sensitive cases with empathy and precision makes her a valuable advocate for her clients.
Beyond the office, Sarah enjoys cooking—especially Italian comfort food—staying active at Orangetheory Fitness, and spending time with her retired working dog, Camden.
