Nate is a founding member of Skelton Moore and a seasoned insurance defense attorney with a focus on products liability law and asbestos defense litigation in Missouri and Illinois. Over his career, Nate has built a reputation as a tenacious and results-oriented advocate for national businesses, including manufacturers, premises owners, and contractors. He expertly navigates every phase of litigation, from pre-suit strategy to resolution, with the ultimate goal of mitigating and eliminating legal risk for his clients.

In addition to his work with national clients, Nate has also represented a wide range of local professionals and businesses, including retail owners, medical professionals, design professionals, financial planners, and construction contractors. He is a familiar face in Missouri and Illinois circuit courts, regularly appearing for contested motions and trial settings in jurisdictions such as St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Madison County, and McLean County.

Earlier in his career, he served as a law student extern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas and as an extern clerk for the Honorable Carlos Murguia of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. These roles provided him with a strong foundation in federal court procedures and honed his skills in legal analysis and advocacy.

Beyond the courtroom, Nate is deeply committed to his community. He serves as the President of Dutchtown Main Streets, an economic development nonprofit dedicated to fostering shared prosperity in South St. Louis City’s densest neighborhood. In 2017, Nate played a key role in establishing the Dutchtown Community Improvement District, the largest community-driven CID in Missouri, which continues to make significant contributions to the revitalization of the neighborhood.

Nate’s dedication to professional excellence extends to his contributions to continuing legal education. He has presented on critical topics such as “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Legal World: Key Strategies to Address Equity Challenges.”

Outside of his legal and community work, Nate, his wife Staci, and their son Thaddeus are active parishioners at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Dutchtown, where they are proud to be part of a vibrant faith community.
